As your representative in Congress, I’m committed to ensuring our region gets its fair share of federal investment. Through the annual appropriations process, Members of Congress have the opportunity to advocate for important policies, programs, and projects that benefit the people we serve.
FY26 Community Project Funding Requests
Key Information:
- Application Deadline:
All CPF applications must be submitted to our office no later than May 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET.
Early submissions are strongly encouraged to allow our team time to assist you in preparing the most competitive application possible. - Eligible Entities:
- State and local government agencies
- Non-profit organizations (note: for FY26, non-profits are not eligible for funding under the HUD EDI account)
- For-profit entities are not eligible for CPF.
- Project Requirements:
- Must have a clear federal nexus, meaning the project must be eligible under an existing federal program or account.
- Must demonstrate strong community support, including but not limited to:
- Letters of support from local elected officials or stakeholders
- Media coverage or public endorsements
- Inclusion in state or local planning documents (e.g. transportation improvement plans, community development plans, etc.)
- Period of Funding:
CPF awards are for one fiscal year only. Multi-year funding requests are not eligible. - Public Disclosure:
All CPF requests submitted by Congressman Mackenzie’s office are required by law to be publicly posted on our website.

FY26 Appropriations Programmatic and Language Requests
In addition to Community Project Funding, Congressman Mackenzie’s office is accepting:
- Programmatic Requests: Ask for a specific funding level for a federal agency or program.
- Language Requests: Request bill or report language that directs or encourages certain federal actions or priorities.

Deadline:
All programmatic and language requests must be submitted by April 26th, 2025.
