Bethlehem, PA - Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representing the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, visited two local businesses yesterday to highlight benefits from the One Big Beautiful Bill for small businesses, service employees, and working families. 
The visits, part of a districtwide effort to highlight key provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill, included stops at Gentlemen’s Barbershop in Bethlehem and The Boatyard Restaurant in Lehighton.

The legislation provides $831.5 billion to strengthen America’s defense, maintain military superiority, and support servicemembers and their families. Notably, the legislation includes three Mackenzie-authored amendments and one he co-sponsored, reflecting his leadership on priorities for the Greater Lehigh Valley and the nation.

Congressman Mackenzie Announces Successful Outcome in DeSales ERC Credit Case

The University had applied for the ERC in January of 2024, but hadn’t received a meaningful update from the IRS for over a year.

Hector Soto first went to work for delivery company DoorDash out of necessity during the COVID pandemic when hours at his full-time job at a call center dried up.

Even though his primary employer brought him back as the pandemic became less severe, Soto discovered that he liked the way working as an independent contractor allowed him to provide extra income for his family. He also is a fan of the flexibility that allows him to schedule his own hours.
