Supporting Working Families

As a husband and father, I’m proud to work on behalf of families in the Greater Lehigh Valley. After years of price increases for housing, food, and more, parents need real solutions that make life more affordable. That’s why I’ve spent my time in elected office fighting for working families.
In the state legislature, I fought to expand the childcare tax credit, provide tax relief on household goods, and take on the illegal immigration that drives up costs for housing, healthcare, and more. Our efforts made a difference, but too many families are still struggling.
In Congress, I’m advancing policies to lower costs and create opportunities for working families. I’m supporting legislation that will provide real relief, and help families thrive.
- Expanding Paid Family and Medical Leave
Doubling and making permanent the employer family and medical leave tax credit to encourage businesses to offer paid family leave.
- Providing Childcare Tax Credits
Doubling existing tax credit to offset the cost of childcare, easing the financial burden for working parents.
- Increasing the Child Tax Credit
Raising the credit to $5,000 (currently $2,000) to help alleviate the high costs facing parents.
- Supporting Adoption and IVF
Expanding the Adoption Tax Credit to $25,000 (currently $16,810) and creating a matching credit for IVF expenses to help families grow.
I know the challenges families face because I talk with parents, workers, and business owners every day. That’s why I’ll keep fighting for policies that make life better for working families—helping them succeed today and build a brighter future for tomorrow.
