Solving Problems

Helping constituents navigate the federal government is one of the most important responsibilities of my office. Dealing with federal agencies can be challenging, especially when encountering long delays, confusing paperwork, or unanswered questions. That’s why my team and I work every day to make sure residents of the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos get timely answers and real solutions.

Whether it’s resolving Social Security or Medicare issues, assisting veterans with benefits they’ve earned, helping families recover tax refunds, or addressing immigration and passport concerns, my office is here to advocate for you and cut through bureaucratic red tape.

Since taking office, we’ve delivered real results for constituents, including:

  • Resolving more than 5,900 individual constituent cases
  • Helping return over $11.4 million to families, seniors, and local organizations
  • Assisting residents with VA benefits, Social Security, Medicare, passports, immigration matters, and tax issues

Every case is different, but our commitment is the same: to be responsive, accessible, and persistent until the problem is resolved.

Delivering for our Communities

Part of my work includes securing funding for local projects, and I’m focused on delivering federal resources that strengthen public safety, improve accessibility, and meet the needs of our communities. This year, my office successfully helped secure over $12 million in Community Project Funding — directing federal dollars back to the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos for projects that residents depend on every day.

Supporting Local First Responders:

We secured $1,650,000 in Community Project Funding for a new firehouse for the Lower Macungie Fire Department, which serves nearly 40,000 residents across Alburtis, Macungie, and Lower Macungie Township.

This project replaces an aging, deteriorating station with serious structural issues, including a leaking roof and garage bays that cannot accommodate modern fire engines. The new facility will give firefighters a safe, modern, and reliable base of operations, improving response times and strengthening public safety across the region. Read more HERE.

We also secured major investments to strengthen law enforcement and emergency communications across the region, including:

  • $2.1 million for a Carbon County P25 radio system
  • $700,000 for Bethlehem Police Department technology and equipment upgrades
  • $474,861 for Palmer Township emergency radio improvements
  • $201,441 for Northampton Borough’s radio mandate switch-over project
  • $120,000 for Freedom High School emergency communications upgrades
  • $60,000 for Carbon County Sheriff equipment and technology upgrades

Together, these projects will help first responders communicate more effectively, respond faster, and better protect our communities.

Investing in Infrastructure:

We secured targeted investments to improve safety, accessibility, and reliability for residents across the region. This includes $33,742 to construct a new ADA-compliant access ramp at Portland Borough’s municipal building, expanding access for seniors, residents with disabilities, and anyone who relies on public services. Additional transportation funding includes $431,000 for the Wind Gap Male Road bridge replacement and pedestrian improvements, $375,000 for Rex Road bridge repairs, and $242,000 for the Lower Saucon Road bridge replacement. These projects will strengthen local infrastructure, improve pedestrian safety, and make everyday travel more dependable for commuters and families.

Delivering on Priorities

Our office worked to deliver $3.6 million for the Catasauqua Iron Works redevelopment, which will transform a historic industrial site into a mixed-use community with new housing, commercial space, public plazas, and improved pedestrian and bike access. We also secured $2 million for new elevators and escalators at Lehigh Valley International Airport, which will improve accessibility, safety, and the travel experience as passenger traffic continues to grow.

Addressing Local Needs

Effective representation starts with understanding your needs and concerns. That’s why I’ve made it a priority to stay engaged with residents, local leaders, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. Through meetings, town halls, and mobile office hours, my goal is to hear directly from constituents about their concerns and bring those voices with me to Washington.

Since taking office in 2025, we have...

  • Opened four district offices to better serve residents across the district
  • Responded to more than 120,000 calls, emails, and letters
  • Personally participated in 800+ events, including in-person and telephone town halls
  • Met regularly with local officials, first responders, educators, healthcare providers, and small businesses
  • Expanded access to constituent services, including bilingual language services available at our downtown Allentown office

My office also routinely offers mobile office hours and works to ensure services are accessible to all residents, including those facing language, transportation, or mobility barriers.
