Congressman Mackenzie Follows Through on Pledge to Support Transparency

November 18, 2025

Washington, D.C. — Following through on his longstanding commitment, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-7), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, has voted to release the Epstein files.

Since this issue reemerged over the summer, Congressman Mackenzie has been clear and consistent in his pledge to support full transparency in this case. The Congressman first stated his position during a July town hall, and has reaffirmed this commitment in more recent town halls and interviews. In recent months, congressional Republicans have been working steadily to provide transparency to the public. The House Oversight Committee has released over 50,000 documents in the last three months.

“As I have made clear since my town hall in July, I support full transparency in the Epstein Case,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “In recent months, the House Oversight Committee has made important strides towards this goal — releasing tens of thousands of documents to the public. Today's vote continues us in the direction of providing the transparency and accountability that everyone deserves.”

Congressman Mackenzie has a long track record of supporting victims of abuse. As a State Representative, he authored bills to help victims of domestic abuse acquire unemployment benefits and crack down on deepfake pornography. He has also supported legislation that keeps firearms out of the hands of domestic abusers, tightened laws around child abuse, and expedites investigations into potential child trafficking.

“Victims of violence and sexual abuse deserve unwavering support from elected officials,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “Just as I did during my time as a Pennsylvania State Representative, I’ll continue working to ensure that victims receive safety, transparency, and justice. The fight to support victims doesn’t stop with the Epstein case; lawmakers must continue to enforce accountability for perpetrators and deliver transparency for the public.”
