Mackenzie Answers Questions from Constituents Across the 7th District in Second Telephone Town Hall

Washington, D.C. — Tonight, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representing the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, hosted his second district-wide telephone town hall, offering residents from across the Greater Lehigh Valley an opportunity to connect directly with their representative in Congress.
Over 7,000 constituents joined the call to ask questions and hear updates on Congressman Mackenzie’s first six months in office. He highlighted his work in making government more accessible— opening four district offices, responding to over 40,000 constituent calls, emails, and letters, and participating in more than 350 meetings and events, including in-person Q&A sessions across the district and in Washington. His office has also resolved more than 1,800 cases for residents, helping return over $8.7 million to families across the Greater Lehigh Valley. He also discussed legislative priorities such as delivering tax relief, protecting our communities, reforming government, and investing in our future.
Constituents asked questions on a wide range of issues, including tax relief, immigration, reforms to Medicaid and SNAP, the redevelopment of former Bethlehem Steel sites, and the release of the Epstein files. Congressman Mackenzie also received new ideas for tax reform, including tax relief for commission-based workers.
“In addition to the in-person Q&As we’ve hosted across the district, these telephone town halls are another important way to stay connected with the people I represent,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “Tonight’s conversation covered a wide range of topics including the economy, support for families and farmers, and important priorities for our local community. I always enjoy conversations with people from our communities so that I can best represent the interests of everyone throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley.”
Congressman Mackenzie also highlighted his efforts on the Education and Workforce Committee to strengthen workforce protections, as well as working in Congress to increase defense investment and support military families. He took questions from residents in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and other communities across the district.
