Unleashing American Energy

Affordable, reliable energy is essential for families, small businesses, farmers, and manufacturers across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos. Energy costs affect nearly every part of daily life — from utility bills at home to the cost of growing, producing, and transporting goods.

That’s why I’ve supported commonsense policies that protect consumer choice, unleash American energy production, and reduce unnecessary red tape that drive up costs. This builds on my record in the Pennsylvania State House, where I authored Act 127 of 2020, a law that cut unnecessary regulatory barriers for advanced recycling and recovery technologies and provided greater certainty for businesses investing in these emerging industries. In Congress, I’ve continued that same focus on cutting red tape, supporting American innovation, and creating an environment where businesses can invest and grow.

Helping Families and Small Businesses

I cosponsored the Energy Choice Act to help protect consumers and small businesses from state and local bans on certain energy sources. Families should be able to choose the energy options that work best for their homes, businesses, and budgets. I also cosponsored the HEATS Act, which helps ensure low-income households continue receiving heating and cooling assistance during government shutdowns, and legislation establishing stronger safety standards for lithium-ion batteries to help protect consumers and reduce risks associated with battery fires and hazardous materials.

My work to support retailers and local businesses has also been recognized by the National Retail Federation, which named me a 2026 “Hero of Main Street” for consistently supporting policies that strengthen the retail industry and help businesses succeed.

Supporting Domestic Energy Production

In Congress, I’ve also voted to support policies that strengthen American energy production and reliability, including legislation to:

Speed up energy projects waiting to connect to the grid
Expand domestic natural gas production and exports
Repeal costly federal rules that limit consumer choice
Cut unnecessary delays for energy and natural resource projects

I voted for the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which includes major energy reforms to remove unnecessary barriers for American producers, expand domestic energy production, and reduce reliance on foreign countries.

These reforms help bring more reliable energy online, support good-paying jobs, and lower costs for families and businesses across our region.
