Congressman Mackenzie Applauds Middle East Peace Agreement

Washington D.C. — Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, applauded the announcement of an initial deal between Israel and Hamas, which includes the release of all hostages.

“We join the peoples of Israel, Gaza, and the entire world in praying for peace to finally touch this region,” said Congressman Mackenzie. “The conflict in Gaza has been devastating for civilians, and countless families now bear the scars of the last two years. As a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, I have been consistently advocating for the release of all hostages so fighting can end and we can work towards lasting peace and stability in the region. 

“President Trump’s leadership has made this moment possible, and we are grateful to all involved for finally achieving a successful agreement to the first part of the peace process.”
