Washington, D.C. — Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, introduced the Special Events Program Alignment Act of 2026 today alongside Rep. Eugene Vindman (VA-07). This bipartisan legislation enables DHS to better coordinate and share information ahead of this year’s major special events. Specifically, the legislation transfers the Special Events Program (SEP) from the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) to the Office of Homeland Security Situational Awareness (OSA).

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, spoke on the House floor today in support of his resolution thanking Department of Homeland Security (DHS) staff and calling for full funding of the department. Following his remarks, a bipartisan majority in the House voted to pass the resolution and — for the third time — an appropriations bill funding the Department. DHS staff — including Coast Guard, FEMA, and TSA employees — have been working without paychecks since February 14th.

Catasauqua, PA — Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, joined local officials and developers today to announce that he has successfully brought home $3.7 million to support a major redevelopment project in Catasauqua. The funding was secured by the Congressman as part of the recently passed Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations package.

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07), representing the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, has authored a letter to President Trump advocating for an executive order (EO) to support the domestic cement industry. Specifically, the Congressman has requested that the EO designate cement as a Critical National Security Material and require federal agencies to prioritize the use of domestically produced cement in federal procurement and federally assisted infrastructure projects, consistent with Buy American laws.
